An audio drama by Angus Imrie
“Even if you don’t know what to do, you have to do something”
A heart-warming audio drama which intimately follows a family’s attempts to appropriately and respectfully scatter their father’s ashes. Their solution: to transport them in a jam jar to Parliament Square.
When brother, Rob, and sister Laura’s dad dies, they are at a loss as to what to do. They try to remember what he would have wanted, and where he would have liked his ashes scattered, but they can only remember fragments of information, their memories are scattered.
They decide they must take him to Parliament Square, he always dreamt of becoming a member of Parliament, and they want to see his dream through. To avoid looking suspicious to authorities around Westminster, they decide to smuggle his ashes in a jam jar.
Angus Imrie’s debut play explores grief and remembrance.
The audio play is accompanied by a pack of postcards, beautifully illustrated by Lucy Jollow. When you make an order online or via our box office you’ll be sent the link to the website to access the play in the post along with the set of postcards to colour in whilst listening.
