On 3 January, our 2pm performance of A Christmas Carol will be a Relaxed Performance aimed at children with autistic, sensory and communication conditions.
The show will be adapted and the atmosphere in the theatre more relaxed so it’s perfect for young children, babies and anyone who would usually shy away from public performances.
This is our fifth Relaxed Performance and last year we had a fantastic show where everyone enjoyed the show and the experience of live theatre.
We’ll provide a visual story to anyone who needs it in advance, as well as a clear synopsis and a chance to be introduced to the actors before the performance starts.
There is a special ‘chill-out’ zone for those feeling uncomfortable during any point of the performance. This will be a safe and supervised space for audience members to come out if they should find that the auditorium starts becoming overwhelming. And there’ll be lots of friendly members of the Front of House team who have received specific training on hand.
All tickets are a slightly reduced price and a special Relaxed Ticket is available at £10 for all members of a party that will benefit from the adapted performance.
