The Faerie Thorn

6 & 7 June
Blackwell’s Bookshop

In Oxford for two nights only, Creation Theatre presents Big Telly Theatre’s production of The Faerie Thorn in Blackwell’s Bookshop. These dark, imaginative and bewitching tales create a world of devilish debts, trysts and trades, broken bargains and unjust trials; of magic, quick-wittedness, hoodwinking and revenge.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

5 July – 5 August
Various locations

Back by popular demand, 2016’s sell-out production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream is returning to Oxford. This version is part treasure hunt, part play and takes place across the city – meet in groups of 10 at a secret location, follow the clues and watch out for fairies…

Alice

15 July – 19 August
A Big Top, University Parks

Fall down the rabbit hall this summer as we transform Oxford’s beautiful University Parks into Lewis Carroll’s Wonderland. This magical adaptation of Alice is the perfect family day out for the whole family.

The Full Bronte

17-19 and 24-26 August
Blackwell’s Bookshop

Join hosts Maria (glamour puss, academic, thespian) and her assistant Brannie (dog’s body, ensemble cast, backstage crew) in their chaotic attempt to homage the Bronte family! Combining comedy, storytelling, music, and games, this show of wuthering delights was hailed by Three Weeks as ‘the anarchic love child of French and Saunders and Hinge and Brackett!’ and by the Scotsman as ‘Resplendent!’ Originally developed with The Theatre Chipping Norton and having enjoyed a sell out run in Edinburgh and on national tours, this show is a delight for literature aficionados and theatre fans alike – and of course every devoted Brontëphile!

A Christmas Carol

Christmas 2017
The North Wall Arts Centre

From the creative team behind last year’s sell-out Snow White and Other Tales from the Brothers Grimm and 2014’s anarchic The Wind in the Willows, this will be Dickens like you’ve not seen him before. With misers, music, Marley’s ghost and all sorts of Creation twists, it will be a show unlike any other.
