26TH JUNE – 16TH AUGUST 2008
ST MICHAEL AT THE NORTH GATE
An inspiring new script recreated some of Shakespeare’s most memorable characters – the good, the bad, and the downright psychotic – as well as some less well known. This was the only one man show in Creation’s summer 2008 season and was critically acclaimed by local press.
Shakespeare’s most incisive insights into the human condition were exposed and explored by director Heather Davies and veteran Creation actor Tom Peters.
The brand new show was performed in a brand new venue – the ancient City Church of Oxford which stands on the corner of Oxford’s bustling Cornmarket and Ship Streets, and houses the font where Shakespeare stood to become a Godfather. Ticket price included a trip up the Saxon tower, which offers breathtaking views of Oxford’s dreaming spires.
