17TH AUGUST – 14TH SEPTEMBER 2013
“Once more unto the breach dear friends, once more”
A young king stands at the head of the English army, the battle of Agincourt spread before him. Shakespeare brings to life an iconic moment of European history, the moment a king is made.
In the beautiful late summer of 2013 Creation presented our first ever History Play, against the stunning backdrop of Oxford Castle. With Associate Director Charlotte Conquest at the helm and our two newly appointed Associate Artists Matt Eaton and Ashley Bale taking care of sound and lighting, this was a vintage Creation show.
“They are three extremely good and versatile actors… I hope I have made clear, this is a bright and entertaining production, with the accessibility for which Creation has been justly famed over 17 years” The Oxford Times – 5 Stars
“This really is an unmissable treat for both young and old and would be the ideal way to introduce children to Shakespeare as it is simply so much fun.”
“An innovative production – from the ingenious use of ketchup bottles to the moments of full-pelt audience participation, Henry V has rarely seemed so unpredictable and spontaneous” The Stage
