1 FEBRUARY – 7 MARCH 2020
BLACKWELL’S BOOKSHOP, OXFORD
Our cast of five actor-musicians took centre stage in this musical adaptation of the Dickens classic, filled with scandal, secrets and obsession.
Esther does not know who she is by birth, but when her Godmother dies and she is sent to Bleak House, that’s when her life really begins…
Buried deep in the belly of Blackwell’s Bookshop, the performances featured live music, song and five actors playing multiple roles in the interweaving worlds of foggy London, the haunted Dedlock Manor in Lincolnshire and Bleak House.
“Emotional rollercoaster ride among the bookshelves.”
Tim Hughes, The Herald * * * * *
“This is an enthralling, magical musical that sends you out onto Broad Street with an idiotic grin on your face”
