Last week we were lucky enough to have Sian to join us for her Year 10 work experience. Here’s a little report that Sian wrote about her time with us…
“I must admit I was very nervous about going on workexperience. Though it was a company I knew well and was already working for, I
had no experience in that area of the company. I was scheduled to work in the
office and also to help out at drama groups, depending on the day. After
ringing the buzzer I was taken up to the office and shakily waited for
instructions or work, they would like me to do. There was no reason to be
nervous! After managing to get the right password for the computer log in, I
slowly progressed through the work I was assigned to, with the help of Charlie,
Josh, Lucy, Maddy and Freya (another work experiencee, who without, I probably
would’ve lost my way in Oxford.) I worked on a great aspect of the marketing
areas with Charlie and creative work like school information packs and
designing leaflets. The further the week went on the more I realised how much I
was going to miss working in this office and attending other drama groups. The
work, colleagues and how friendly the atmosphere was, really gave me an insight
into how the company is run and how much I would like to work for a company
like this in the future. So, no matter how much you say you won’t be just a
little be scared, about going on work experience, you will be, but that fear
soon vanishes after an experience with a company like Creation and I will
thoroughly miss working with them, even Josh’s constant joke of, if I would
like some tea (though he knows I don’t like it.) I really recommend Creation
and would like to say thanks to them for having me.”
