Twelfth Night

Twelfth Night poster 2003

6th June - 28th July 2003

Headington Hill Park, Oxford

Introduction

The very musical Twelfth Night kicked off Creation’s first summer season in their new home of Headington Hill Park. Charlotte Conquest’s second show for Creation and the welcome return of Justin Webb as Sir Toby Belch (who couldn’t actually belch!) ensured a summer of non-stop laughter. James Fox’s daughter Lydia took on the role of Viola with gusto and Tom Peters as Fabian the French chef will never be forgotten! Designer Michael Taylor provided a memorable set comprised of yellow and blue doors – perfect for the farcical events of Shakespeare’s renowned comedy.

Reviews

“The company’s new amphitheatre, tucked away off Headington Hill, is the perfect setting for Shakespeare’s comedy… The music, dance, lights, setting and first -class acting come together to create a fantastic piece of theatre.”
The Oxford Mail

“…Creation Theatre Company is the jewel in the crown of the Oxford arts.”

“A fantastic treat and a unique experience.”
BBC Online

“This is a slick and engrossing production for a summer evening…’
The Oxford Times

“A feel-good, effervescent, life-affirming comedy of love ….another summer sizzler.”

“Conquest accentuates the comedy. The practical jokers of Justin Webb’s golf-clubby Sir Toby, Alexander Caine’s geeky Sir Andrew, Jane Arden’s excellent provocative Maria, Tim Furnell’s cheeky chappie Feste and Tom Peter’s stereotypical chef Fabian are a treat…”
