EDUCATION AND MARKETING ASSISTANT

This role presents a great opportunity to contribute to the dramatic growth of an exciting area of Creation’s business. You will work closely with the Education Development Manager to plan, promote and deliver high quality educational events that will significantly contribute to Creations profitability. You will take full responsibility for the Education programme in the Education Development Managers absence and forge strong links with the local community, especially schools. Seeking candidates who are commercially focused and highly self-motivated and ideally have experience in planning and delivery of drama/theatre workshops of various sizes for children and adults.

Salary: £225 p/w subject to tax and NI plus bonus potential. Full time position starting in May.

Strong electrical + management skills required. In charge of the venue and will work on shows.

- One Shakespeare show and one family show at Oxford Castle.

2 ASSISTANT FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGERS

To provide support to the Front of House Manager and Deputy Front of House Manager. The objective of the FOH team is to ensure the smooth and safe running of the assigned venue whilst maximising profit per capita, ensuring excellent customer service, excellent presentation and contributing to good staff morale. Seeking candidates with good communication and inter-personal skills and who are committed to excellent customer service. Main working hours will be evenings and weekends.

Oxford Castle: Contract: 17 July – 16 August. £225 p/w PAYE.

Headington Hill Park: Contract: 2 July – 17 September. £25 p/w PAYE.

EXCITING NEW 6 WEEK INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

A perfect opportunity to experience working for a professional theatre company and make a real difference to the company's success. Creation Theatre Company is looking for candidates who are available from Mon 7 July – Sat 16 August full time and can work mainly afternoons, evenings and weekends. The candidates will work closely with the Marketing department and Front of House and will be based in the Creation office and at the performance venue in the evenings. This position would be suitable to candidates who want to gain an insight into how a theatre company is run and are enthusiastic and willing to learn and muck in as required. Candidates must be 18 or over. A contribution will be made for travel and accommodation expenses. Further information available on request. All candidates will be interviewed for the position.

If the successful candidate would like to extend the placement beyond the 16 August to shadow production then this can be arranged although the company cannot offer to cover accommodation and travel for this period.

As a registered charity with no core funding, the Front of House volunteers help us to survive and make our spectacular shows in stunning locations a possibility. Our volunteers help assist the Front of House team in ensuring shows run smoothly by welcoming our audience, ushering, selling merchandise and programmes, assisting the catering team, watching the show while being in radio contact with the Front of House Manager and other ad hoc duties as required.

There are other unpaid but rewarding opportunities alongside working on site, including being a WORKSHOP ASSISTANT on our exciting Drama Workshops.

We are also looking for AMBASSADORS OF CREATION to spread the word about Creation's shows by giving leaflets and posters to places in your local area, or helping us with our mailings over tea and biscuits!
